Caroline and David Harriott produce lamb and beef on their farms in West Sussex in the UK. Everything they do is to create Flavour. I caught up with Caroline just as lambing was about to start on their farms.

Some farms open and invite the public to experience lambing as it happens. The closest farm to Caroline is Gaston's Farm in Slindon, near Arundel. To see if a farm near you opens search Open Farm Lambing.

The newest national park in the UK is the South Downs National Park, the SDNP. When walking in the park please keep children and dogs under close control near livestock, especially during the lambing season.

The SDNP is sponsoring a new local food information portal which will be launched in April and May. Please check their website for more details which will be available when the portal is ready. There will be info on farmer's markets, local food shops and events at which local food is for sale.

This was not the time to get Caroline - or David - to taste whiskies with me! I hope to visit again in May, to share a dram and find out how lambing 2015 has gone for this husband and wife partnership.
